"Desk" Yardage

We had the opportunity to print 10 yards of fabrics at our student production facility, Working Class Studio! Our group chose my "Desk" print and we went to town! The idea for this print is that you would actually hang this behind your actual desk space and pin your own memos in and around the blank spaces.

Mr. Mouse's House

For my final 3D Fibers installation, I chose a lonely nook in the bricks to liven up. Everytime I walked by I was reminded of a memory from my childhood at a place called the Magic House where I used to go. In the front room was a little red door on the ground, and I never tired of crouching down to open that little door and exploring what was inside. I wanted to capture that childlike sense of imagination and vulnerability, to make people believe again that there could in fact be a very fiberous mouse living at 634 3/4 E. Broad street that is learning how to crochet...

Oh Minnesota!

I cannot get enough of these all over florals from the 60's and 70's.

I was able to experience a very Minnesotan "weekend on the lake" in the darling town of Nisswa at my friend Alissa's cabin. I have come to the conclusion that I do love Minnesota and I have decided it is by far the friendliest state. Nisswa was charming in every way. Alissa's family cabin was left just as her grandparents left it in the 60's..and I was in heaven! Here are a few shots from the weekend. The furniture and the fabrics were amazing...

Expect More. Pay Less.

I have been a design intern at Target for the past 7 weeks. I have gotten amazing experience working with the Fabric Specialists who work with the designers to source their fabrics each season across the globe. I am also working with the Newborn team and am designing a line of new onesizes for boy and girl. More pictures of that to come! My lovely little cube is adorned with some of my prints, Julia Rothman's prints, Nama Rococo wallpaper, and various other goodies...I heart Minneapolis and Target!
